David Bagley Letter : June 10, 1864

Bagley wants to challenge Emil Anneke for the Michigan Auditor General's Office. Bagley reports that Anneke has abused his position and uses it to recruit German Americans hostile to the pro-Union government. Bagley cites his manhood and dedication to Republican values as his reasons for opposing Anneke.
