A letter from Sarah Noddins to her son Thomas Noddins deployed as a Union soldier. Sarah writes about the recent family and town events, including most of Ionia being baptized. She also discusses crops and livestock on their family farm. Thomas' family put $5 into this letter for him, as his mother Sarah is concerned he is suffering more than he tells them.
