In this letter to his brother and sister, Thomas describes his trouble with dyspepsia, nervousness, and rheumatism. Davis writes that he would give away his possessions to see Charlie since it has been two years since he saw him. Thomas explains how he enjoyed the surrender of Vicksburg on July 4th.
