Davis writes to Lucinda informing her that Robert McMichael received his papers and left for home yesterday. He details that McMichael resigned as soon as they arrived in Washington. In response to Lucinda's inquiry, Davis notes that he is unsure of where he would like to live now that the war is concluded. Davis writes that five Companies of the Regiment, not including his, were paid, however he was able to collect from several people who were in his debt. Davis concludes by noting that the men are impatient to learn what will be done with them, and that they feel they are being kept in ignorance.
