  In Kentucky
at last we had
a fine ride got to
                              k
cin about 10 ocloc^
yesterday got dinner
and then crossed the rivers and
staid there a while and
then marched to camp
8 miles or more dusty
a fury. North east of us
there is up on a hill there
are 3 cannon planted I un-
derstand there ARE 9 more but
not in sight you must 
not complain if do not
write a very interesting letter
for I have not been
here long enough to see
much you know when you
write to me send your

letters to the 18 Boeg Cal
Covington Ky. some how
or other I cannot think
of much to write so I will
stop and try and do better
next time write soon
