James Lickly writes to his brother William detailing that he is in good health. Lickly writes that William may pay his wife Emily for the logs he is purchasing, and requests that William check on his family as he has heard that his son Henry is sick. Lickly concludes that the men originally thought the war would be concluded by the spring, however that is looking unlikely.
