Mattoon Letter : June 3, 1864

Gershom writes that this campaign has been very difficult and he lists recent casualties, presumably from his company. At least two of the deaths (Seth Cary and Henry Edwards) have been confirmed to have occurred at the Battle of Haw's Shop on May 28, 1864.
