This is a letter from O.G. Dunckel, a Union soldier, to his wife Elizabeth and their children. Dunckel has been on the move since he left the hospital in Chattanooga. He asks his family to make sure their house is especially prepared for the cold winter. He asks how the cattle and steer are doing, and also asks for his family to send him tea. He also says he'll send home money, and who still owes him money back home.
