This is a letter from O.G. Dunckel, a Union soldier, to his wife Elizabeth and their children. Dunckel recieved two letters: one from his family and one from "Brother Daniel." He was relieved to get both, but Daniel reported he'd been sick with typohoid fever. He'd also like to buy his wife a cow for the spring.
