This is a letter from O.G. Dunckel to his wife Elizabeth and their children. Dunckel asks for a certificate to be sent from home in order to obtain his State Bounty. He also says he will not get a furlow like he hoped bfore marching to Jackson, MI in a few days. A few business matters are mentioned, and he also talks about the harsh winter weather in Grand Rapids.
