U.S. President Barack Obama speaks on the 50th anniversary of the Equal Pay Act
President Obama delivers remarks commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Equal Pay Act which President Kennedy signed on June 10, 1963. The law requires employers to give women and men equal pay for equal work. He reflects on the history of unequal pay, quotes President Kennedy, and says there is still work to be done to achieve equal pay for equal work. Obama also says increasing the minimum wage is necessary.
